Meet Lynda

I'm Lynda Walter, a premarital counselor and couples coach. I work with engaged and pre-engaged couples who want to build a marriage grounded in connection, grace, and a shared commitment to Christ.

For more than a decade, I've had the privilege of supporting families through some of life's most important seasons. That experience shaped how I counsel today. I've seen how the patterns couples build before the wedding become the foundation they live on after it, and I'm passionate about helping couples start that foundation well.

My approach is attachment-focused and strengths-based. Rather than beginning with a one-size-fits-all curriculum, I start by getting to know the two of you. Together, we identify the specific strengths you can build on and the areas that deserve more attention, so every session is shaped around your relationship.

When desired by the couple, I thoughtfully integrate Christian faith into the counseling process, helping couples build a marriage rooted in biblical wisdom, grace, and a shared commitment to Christ.

My Counseling Approach

I believe premarital counseling should feel personal and encouraging, not like a checklist. I start by getting to know your story, how you met, what you value, and where you hope to grow together.

Using an attachment-focused lens, I help couples understand the deeper patterns that shape how they connect. When we understand how we're wired to relate to one another, we can build the emotional safety that sustains a marriage through every season.

We'll identify your relationship's unique strengths and the areas that deserve attention before the wedding. Sessions are relaxed and conversational, and you'll leave each one with practical tools you can use right away.

When desired by the couple, I integrate Christian faith into our work, helping you build a marriage rooted in biblical wisdom, grace, and a shared commitment to Christ.

A Little More About Me

When I'm not counseling, I'm usually spending time with my family, serving in our church community, or enjoying the outdoors.

After more than a decade supporting families, I'm more convinced than ever that intentional preparation matters. The investment you make now will shape the marriage you live for decades.

It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you prepare for a marriage built on connection, grace, and lasting love.
